How GigiGo became Bogotá's logistics backbone

Today, GigiGo is one of the top five delivery platforms in Bogotá. They handle twenty thousand shipments a month across three cities — Bogotá, Medellín, and Cali. Their customers range from ecommerce stores to point-of-sale retailers. Every morning, they collect shipments by noon. By six PM, most are delivered.

Anything headed to another city goes out on trucks or flights for next-day delivery. It's efficient, reliable, and scaled. But this wasn't always the case. Three years ago, GigiGo was a startup doing a thousand shipments a month. The complexity they manage today required more than ambition — it required the right operational design and a partner willing to build it with them.

The Operational Challenge

Managing a delivery platform at GigiGo's scale means solving problems most logistics software doesn't even think about. How do you handle custom pricing for different customer segments? How do you collect cash on delivery without losing track of reconciliation? How do you integrate with hundreds of ecommerce customers — some through Shopify, some through WooCommerce, others through custom APIs?

When GigiGo expanded to Medellín, the challenge multiplied. Now they needed to intelligently transfer shipments between warehouses, track proof of delivery across multiple cities, and manage separate collection and delivery routes without everything falling apart.

Designing for Growth

Rather than just selling them software, InstaDispatch worked with GigiGo to design their entire operational model. We built a flexible pricing engine that could handle their unique surcharge structure. We designed their cash-on-delivery processes and reporting workflows so every peso collected was tracked and reconciled properly. We integrated their customer platforms — Shopify, WooCommerce, and a custom REST API — so orders flowed in automatically without manual entry.

As they grew and opened new warehouses, we evolved with them. We built a multi-warehouse model that let them collect in one city, transfer intelligently to another, and manage last-mile delivery locally — all while maintaining visibility and accountability end-to-end.

GigiGo went from a thousand to twenty thousand shipments a month. They expanded from one city to three. They built processes that scaled without breaking. They became a trusted logistics partner for hundreds of Colombian retailers and ecommerce businesses.
